1. Construction?

All models are handmade from scratch by skillful and experienced craftsmen. They are built according to scale of the original ships through original plans or pictures using plank on frame construction method. The hull is joined by multi-pieces of dry thin wooden bar together.

Inside the hull, we use a special imported glue that makes the wood strips stay close to one another and not split, crack or twist when the weather changes.

Our models are completely built, NOT kits. Each model comes with a display stand.

2. Materials?

We use the high quality woods like rose wood, ebony, black wood, mahogany, teak… detailed as follow: (Botanical names / English)

* Diospyros (Ebony) (for buttons and small details) 
* Pterecarpus Pedatus Pierre (for the hull)
* Dalbergia Oliverii Gamble /Rose wood (for the hull)
* Siamea Lamk/ Black wood (for the hull)
* Xylia Dolabrifommis Benth/ Mahogany(for the masts)
* Talauma GIOI A.Chev/Yellow (on the floor or water line)
* Jack wood (on the floor or water line)
* Canons, muskets, anchors and other tiny details are made of metal (for decoration)
* Sails and rigging lines are made of linen.

3. Dimensions Measurement?

Since this web site is used by all people around the world, we use international system, which is  centimeter (1cm=0.39"). 

All our ships mentioned in our website are measured as below illustrated picture.

4. Placing an order?

You can order directly from the internet securely, we use secured S.S.L. server to handle the shopping cart. Also, you can fax in the order, email or always give us a call 714-892-0891. We are here from Monday to Friday 9am-5pm Pacific time to answer any questions you may have.

4b. Special Order?

For out of stock item, or item that need special made to order, we require a 50% deposit at the time of order. Usually it takes about 2-6 weeks to bring a special order item to our warehouse in USA.

5. Delivery time?

Within 1 days of receipt, your order will be processed.

6. How are the ships packed?

Each ship is individual packed in one carton box. Some items are packed with a wooden frame more maximum protection.

For ships and yachts with simple details, the masts are laid down flat for shipping purpose. All riggings come with the masts. It usually takes 10-15 minutes to reassemble the item without any tool needed. 

7. How are the models shipped?

Most items can be shipped via Fedex Ground. Tall ships 80cm expert level will be shipped by DHL. Some oversize items will be shipped by common carrier. Also If you order in quantity, your order will be shipped on pallet(s) by common carrier. Please call for quote.

8. How can I order the models from overseas?

Please look at Partners & Clients tab in our website for further information. We have overseas branch and distributors who can ship the models to your door. We can also ship directly from the factory if you don't find any distributor in your area. Item can be shipped by Air or Sea Freight.

9. Display case?

Beside preventing dust, a displace case always increase the value of your model, we suggest that you put the ship in a display case. 

10. Problems/Guaranty?

If an item arrives damaged or defective, please notify us of any damages or defectiveness within 7 days of shipment arrival to get a return authorization; then simply return that item and we can replace a brand new one. If that same style is not available, customers have the option to pick a replacement. 100% the cost of item will be refunded to customers if no replacement is satisfied or available.

For any other reasons that you are not satisfied with our models, simply return it within 7 days and we will refund the money. Restocking fees may apply.
