These surfboards are made of beautiful cedar strip and rose wood. Not only it has the classic look, it perform surprisingly well.

All of our surfboards are individual handcrafted from strips of top graded western red cedar and then encapsulated in fiberglass with epoxy resin. This combination of natural material, personal craftsmanship and modern technology not only create a stunning beautiful look, but also ensure that a completed board will give great performance on the waves.

Grande Canoes products are completely handcrafted and it typically takes about 200-500 hours to build one. We still use the traditional method of constructions while integrating the highest quality of materials currently available. Strips of cedars are joined together by hand and then encapsulated in fiberglass bonded in place with epoxy resin then coated with marine vanish. This combination of fiberglass and epoxy is very strong and completely transparent so that the beauty of the wood will be protected for generations..
